Pursuing a groove-intensive, psychedelic sound, the English band Plastic Mermaids manages to craft spacey songs with richly cinematic tones and bright production. The group released its debut album, Suddenly Everyone Explodes, in 2019 and the LP helped establish Plastic Mermaids as a band that isn't afraid to pursue experiemental tendencies in order to achieve its artistic endgame.
