The Atlanta, GA native rapper and singer YFN Lucci was born Rayshawn Lamar Bennett. He grew up listening to artists like Tupac Shakur, Lil Wayne and Jay Z and started rapping at 16. Impressed with his verses, rapper Johnny Cinco urged Lucci to take his talent seriously. In the end of 2014, he released his first mixtape Wish Me Well followed by 2016's charting Wish Me Well 2. The latter featured collaborations with artists like Bigga Rankin, Plies, Trae Pound, Bloody Jae, Young Scooter, Migos, Trouble, Cinco and Marissa. The single "Key to the Streets" peaked at number 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2017, Lucci dropped his debut EP Long Live Nut which was also a commercial success. 2018's studio album Ray Ray from Summerhill, which featured appearances from a multitude of artists including Dreezy, became Lucci's first Top 20 entry.
