Architecture in Helsinki

With a fondness for analog synthesizers, glockenspiels, trumpets, recorders and other unusual instruments, the Australian band Architecture in Helsinki has done an admirable job of making avant guarde music fairly catchy. By combing pop aesthetics with off handed lyrics and rhythmic montages, the group has stumbled upon a unique sound that has given them credibility amongst an eager listening base.
