Because there are a startling amount of young bands in Austin, Texas, it's quite difficult for a group to get noticed. This is why the band Oh No Oh My moved to Nashville, Tennessee from Austin in 2005 to get its start. The group makes a novel style of indie rock that's easily digestible and because the majority of other acts in Nashville are country-centric, it wasn't long before Oh No Oh My sparked the interested of record scouts. The group was signed shortly thereafter and even though the band's music is slightly lurid, by going on tour with notable groups like The Flaming Lips and Gnarls Barkley, the group's music has managed to reach a fairly large audience.
