The Colorado Rockies are a Major League Baseball team and a member of the National League West Division. The Rockies joined the league as an expansion team in 1993. In just their third season, the Rockies won the wild card to earn their first postseason berth. It wasn't until 2007 that the team made the playoffs again. That year the Rockies won 14 of their final 15 games to earn a spot in the postseason. They went onto win their first pennant but were swept by the Red Sox in the World Series.
