Deathcore six-piece Winds of Plague formed in Upsala, CA in 2002. The band immediately stood out in the deathcore scene by incorporating elements of symphonic metal into its music and because its lineup features a female musician -- two rather unusual occurrences in the rigid, male-dominated genre. Using its differences to its advantage, Winds of Plague has toured worldwide since its inception and has built an impressive international fan base, particularly in Japan, the US and Europe.
