Houses

Houses is the project of boyfriend-girlfriend duo, who left their jobs in Chicago to live in a remote house outside of Hilo, Hawaii. Remaining isolated for a few months, essentially living off the land, showering with rainwater and reserving solar power to fuel their laptops, the duo collaborated on what would become Houses, an ambient chillwave project released on Lefse Records in 2010. Though the couple eventually was forced to move back to its native Chicago, the two immediately entered the studio and properly recorded the fruits of isolation.
