Fjärde Världen came about during an explosion of young hip-hop artists who helped revitalize Sweden's rap scene at the turn of the millennium. Since the group's formation in 1998, its fame has edged outside of Sweden into Europe, partially due to releasing albums that have been hailed by fans and critics as being some of the most well-produced hip-hop records to ever emerge out of Sweden.
