Hailing from Sweden, but creating music that sounds as though it was forged in the heart of Nashville, Calaisa is a girl group made up of two pairs of sisters. After forming in 2006, the group decided to play a short tour which landed it in Ireland, where the head of Universal Music Nashville happened to be staying; the result of this fateful coincidence was a record deal and a highly praised debut album recorded in just five weeks. Since then, Calaisa has made a name for itself both in the US and Sweden, demonstrating that counrty-folk don't just come from America.
