Darkwater is a Swedish metal band that pulls equally from the worlds of progressive and hard rock. The group is certainly nothing new or special to people familiar with the genre, but it does what it does reasonably enough. Hard power riffs and rapid tempos share space with slower, bass-driven grooves and time signature changes in the band's often lengthy compositions.
