The University of Arkansas is a public research university based out of Fayetteville, Arkansas that was founded in 1871. The Razorbacks are the sports teams that compete for the school in the NCAA Division I Southeastern Conference. Originally called the Cardinals, the student/teacher body voted to change the sports teams name to the Razorbacks in 1910. Though the university's athletic department hosts a number of varied teams, it is probably best known for its football, basketball and baseball teams.
