Amel Bent

Amel Bent is a French singer who made it to the big leagues upon reaching the semi-finals of France's version of Pop Idol (the British precedent to American Idol), Nouvelle Star 2. Although Bent never made it to the finals, the show's producers saw that she possessed genuine talent, opting to help her achieve her dream to become one of France's hottest pop singers. So far, with two platinum albums under her belt, Amel Bent most certainly did not disappoint.
