Giant Rooks is a German indie-pop band based out of Hamm. Established in 2014, it is made up of vocalist Frederick Rabe, guitarist Finn Schwieters, bassist Luca Göttner, drummer Finn Thomas and pianist Jonathan Wischniowski. The band was first noticed at the 2016 NRW KULTURsekretariat. Its first two EPs The Times Are Bursting the Lines and New Estate were released in 2015 and 2016 respectively. Thereafter it performed at festivals and supported artists such as Kraftklub and The Temper Trap. In 2018, the band kicked off a month-long tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Some of its singles include "New Estate," "Bright Lies," and "Wild Stare."
