Before English electronic producer Tim Exile became a notable fixture of the UK music club scene, he spent his formative years honing his chops as a classically trained violinist. Though his love of heavy hitting electronic genres - specifically drum and bass - ultimately led Exile to a career as a dance-friendly beatsmith, his love of organic instrumentation has remained an integral part of the way he composes and performs his music. A few years after releasing his debut LP in 1999, Exile went on to study an MA in electroacoustic composition at Durham University, which helped solidify the musician's ability to incorporate improvisational techniques, physical instrumentation and various production quirks into his unique music.
