The Crookes is an indie-pop quartet from Sheffield, England that quickly rose to national attention after the release of its debut album, Chasing After Ghosts, in 2011. Driven by tropical guitar melodies and soaring lyrics, the group cultivated its own sonic aesthetic from romantic elements of classic pop and cooler threads of modern indie rock.
