A husband and wife formed The Naked Heroes after engaging in a heated discussion about the value of sonic perception. The duo doesn't take itself too seriously and favors creating raw rock n' roll songs with mistakes and imperfections included, instead of clean tracks full of prose. Keeping to its DIY aesthetic, the Brooklyn-based group released its 2009 debut 99 Diamonds on its own Drug Front Records to moderate acclaim.
