Charlotte Gainsbourg

The Anglo-French singer/songwriter Charlotte Gainsbourg is one of the pre-eminent musical acts to have emerged from mainland Europe in the 21st century. She first gained momentum on her native soil and managed to nab the producer extrodinare Nigel Godrich to produce her first album, 5:55, and then grab American musical icon Beck to produce her second LP, IRM. These successful releases have helped lift the singer to icon status in France and well respected musical import in the United States.
