After establishing himself as a premier musician who's unafraid to take chances with experimental and avant garde sounds, Brian Eno evolved into one of the more in demand producers of his generation who's know for crisp studio refinement and almost mathematical styled arrangements. When he started out, the English musician primarily played keyboards and synthesizers for the up and coming glam rock outfit Roxy Music; but after quarrels with lead singer Brian Ferry, Eno decided to leave the group in the early '70s and start a solo career. Not being tied down to any sort of egotistical frontman, or any other musicians vying for creative control, Eno was able to progress towards and innovate a certain style of music: Ambient. After cranking out several solo albums, that were met by fans with cult-like enthusiasm, Eno began to work with several prominent acts like the Talking Heads and U2. His unique approach to production and instrumental approach worked well with these groups, leding to critical and commercial success.
