Nicholas Angelich

Nicholas Angelich is an American pianist, who, like many of the world's greatest musicians, got his start by performing works in concert at the early age of 7 that many would not even attempt until adulthood. Upon entering one of Paris' premier music conservatories at the age of 13, Angelich would go on to compete and win numerous placements and prizes at some of the world's most prestigious piano competitions. Many critics and connoisseurs believe that Nicholas Angelich possesses a great understanding of the contrapuntal intricacies in the piano music of Joannes Brahms-- a composer whose oeuvre for piano is often unfairly overlooked by pianists due to it's difficulty to perform satisfactorily.
