Raised both in the Dominican Republic and the United States, Erick Morillo has been involved with crafting electronic music for decades. The producer has been DJing since he was eleven years old and after submerging himself in the bustling electro scene he eventually began to focus on making his mark in the world of house music. Working under various guises over the years, including Deep Soul, RBM and Ministers De La Funk, Morillo scored a hit that broke through to find mainstream success with the 1993 single, "I Like to Move It." Credited under his Reel 2 Real pseudonym, the song features vocals from Trinidad and Tobago rapper Mark Quashie and has been featured in countless films, television shows and commercials. Morillo continues to remain relevant thanks regular DJ spots at popular Vegas nightclubs and the work of his house music record label, Subliminal Records. Erick Morillo passed away on September 1st, 2020.
