Parisian 5-piece funk outfit Akalé Wubé formed in 2008 with the intention of reworking Ethiopian music from its golden age in the 70s. By blending traditionally Ethiopian style with contemporary jazz, afrofunk and vintage erotica, the group found tremendous success amongst modern music connoisseurs. While the group members may not look the part of a soulful funk act, their instrumental prowess and evident knowledge of music history marks them as a truly talented band and a live act to behold.
