After listening to a few tracks by the Canadian band Amos The Transparent, it comes as a bit of a surprise to find out the band isn't a mounting mainstream success with singles playing constantly on MTV. The group's humble beginnings can be traced back to Ottawa, Ontario in 2004 when two songwriters decided to collaborate on a few tunes. These sessions proved fruitful and the two musicians decided to ditch their respective solo endeavors and concentrate on putting a fully fledged band together. The group, dubbed Amos The Transplant, started writing fairly catchy soft rock tunes - that'd be perfectly at home during a introspective montage in a romantic comedy - but the band didn't immediately find a fan base that connected with the group's songs on an intrinsically personal level. This all changed in 2009 and 2010, though, as the group really began to find its stride, play a staggering amount of shows and create music that resounded well with listeners. During those two years, Amos The Transparent began playing a lot of festivals and started to understand that the group's true prowess lies in its ability to deliver it's unique alt rock tunes to crowds in a live setting.
