UK quartet Viva Brother (formerly just Brother) produces what it calls "gritpop," which could be translated to mean it creates a grittier form of Britpop. Based on the band's sound, however, it seems to mean that it creates pop punk with distinctly British vocals. Despite their humble upbringings in Slough, the band members have developed a reputation for being rather arrogant, insisting that within a year they'll be playing shows to 10,000 fans. This arrogance hasn't scared away record labels, however, and the band has been heralded as the group to kick-start the Britpop revival that the UK has apparently been awaiting.
