Olli Mustonen is a concert pianist, composer, and conductor from Finland. Mustonen's repertoire is extensive to say the least, showing a special preference for the works of Slavic and Scandinavian composers, particularly those of the great Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. Mustonen's breakthrough onto the international stage came in 1987 after winning Young Concert Artists International Auditions, which led to his subsequent debut at New York's Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing some of the greatest works of classical music to much critical acclaim, Olli Mustonen is also well-known as a champion of his own works as well as those by contemporary composers.
