The Museo del Agua y el Textil de Manresa will get medieval on your mind, taking you back to the 1300s before blasting you back to the future with two permanent exhibitions dedicated to the technological and cultural history of Manresa. The first exhibition is all about water. More specifically, how irrigation from the medieval Séquia de Manresa canal, and the 19th-century water depot – which the museum itself is housed inside – changed the local landscape in a big way, physically and culturally. The second exhibition is a real belter; its main focus is belts. More specifically, it traces the technological, cultural, and aesthetic evolution of belts and other textiles over the centuries.
