Humour has been a part of Laurie Peret's life ever since she can remember. She started attending improvisation school at an early age, this is where she honed her skills and acquired the ability to carry herself with confidence on stage. The first performance of her career was in the musical Mozart, the Rock Opera which helped in paving her way into the world of professional acting. She continued to play small-time roles in various movies and TV shows, but it was her performance on Lamine Lezghad's shows which brought her true popularity. It was her sketch named "1,2, 3" and it established her as one of the most promising upcoming humorists at the time. The next major step in her career was her one-woman show- Spectacle alimentaire en attendant la pension. The show features Peret's collection of funny songs which are weaved around the jokes that are inspired by her own life.
