Kings Heathens have been steadily making a name for themselves on the Birmingham folk scene over the last couple of years, including headline slots at the renowned Red Lion Folk Club. Their debut album, Old Tall Stories, features a mix of traditional songs and originals, full of rousing melodies and singalong choruses, all performed through a mix of banjo, bouzouki, guitar, harmonica and voice.
Hailing from Texas and Milton Keynes respectively, adopted Brummies Evan C Ritchie and David Fisher have both forged successful solo careers, but have come together to form a duo inspired by the music of Stan Rogers, Fisherman?s Friends and a range of traditional music from across the British Isles and North America.
Join them for this album launch, which promises to be a spectacular and memorable evening. Audience participation is not mandatory - but it is strongly welcomed and encouraged.
?An amazing night. We raised the roof with song and stunning performances. Rousing voices? Live music at its best? - Birmingham Red Lion Folk Club
