Mark Hummel is a Grammy Award nominated singer/songwriter and harmonica player from New Haven, Connecticut. Performing a number of blues styles including West Coast blues, Delta blues and Chicago blues, in addition to a number of swing and jazz styles, Hummel might best be known as the longtime band leader of the ensemble Blues Survivors. Releasing his debut album, Playin' In Your Town, in 1985, Hummel has since kept active, releasing additional LPs, maintaining a busy touring regime and collaborating with some big names from the jazz scene including James Cotton, John Mayall and Carey Bell.
