Marshall Crenshaw is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Detroit, Michigan who first came to attention playing John Lennon in the off-Broadway touring company of the musical Beatlemania. While in New York, he recorded the single "Something's Gonna Happen" for Shake Records, leading to a contract with Warner Bros. Records and his eponymous debut album in 1982. In addition to his own recorded material, such as his 1999 critically acclaimed album #447, he has penned iconic tunes for other artists such as "Til I Hear It from You," recorded by Gin Blossoms, and the title track for the 2007 film Walk Hard. Crenshaw released is tenth studio album, Jaggedland, in 2009.
