Nicholas Bracegirdle is a composer, musician, producer and electronic performer from Buckinghamshire, UK, who is best-known by his working guise, Chicane. Unlike most of his contemporaries and those he shares worldwide festival bills with, Chicane is not a DJ. He creates electronic music in the form of ambient-trance and chill out, and whereas many choose to mix tracks via turntables and computers, he instead enjoys bringing his compositions to life via a full live band, combining digital and acoustic instrumentation. Dreamy, ethereal soundscapes such as "Saltwater" and "Offshore" have become club anthems in electronic and dance music capitals of the world.
