The LACS is a duo from the rural Southern town of Baxley, Georgia that creates an unmistakable style of music by blending nearly diametrically opposed styles of music--like hip-hop and country--together to create a unique sonic amalgam that the group has dubbed "hick hop." Comprised of Clay "Uncle Snap" Sharpe and Brian "Rooster" King, The LACS (which stands for Loud Ass Crackers) was formed in 2002 and has managed to find a regional following of fans who enjoy the duo's distinctive songs and incisive style.
