The Wallflowers is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles that has forged its own path on the music scene without capitalizing off of the fame of front man Jakob Dylan's father, Bob Dylan. With Dylan as its only constant member, the band has taken several different forms since it formed in 1989. After releasing its 1992 self-titled debut album The Wallflowers laid low for the next four years before releasing its four-time platinum album Bringing Down the Horse in 1996. The records spawned several hits such as "The Difference," "Three Marlenas" and the Grammy Award-winner "One Headlight," earning the band not only commercial success but credibility within the world of alternative rock.
