In the late 1960s, the English rock band Wishbone Ash started doing something that would give them notoriety and respect amongst musicians and fans: twin lead guitars. The harmonizing effect, created when two guitarists hit the same note in a different key, resonated quite well with listeners and soon the group came to be one of the more respected instrumental outfits around, even prompting several prominent music magazines to hail the dual guitar players as innovators of their craft. It's been more than four decades since the group first started playing and despite a few lineup changes, Wishbone Ash soldiers on and continues to play to eager audiences.
