The Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF), established in 1977, is the main event put on by the Cleveland Film Society. Numerous films are shown throughout each day of the festival and although their themes are varied, the main focus of CIFF is to help educate and entertain people through film and to foster diversity and tolerance. Over fifty thousand people go to this event each year to view the feature or independent films offered.
