A followup to its 2008 performance at the Royal Albert Hall, Strictly Gershwin returns with the English National Ballet, a live jazz orchestra and special guests. Designed as an homage to George Gershwin's music, the performance evokes the days of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers and is a splendid showcase of the big band era. Including songs such as "Summertime," "Shall We Dance," Rhapsody in Blue" and other Gershwin classics, the score is nostalgic and dazzling and accompanies the choreography by Gareth Valentine and Derek Deane perfectly.
