Part of the famed Playhouse Square, KeyBank State Theatre is quite the venue to head to, if you want to enjoy some opera. Designed by Thomas W. Lamb and built by Fleishman Construction Company as early as 1921, the theater structure has been influenced by Roman, European and Greek designs. The theater is historical in the sense that over a period of years it has been closed down, been converted into an exhibit and finally been restored to its current form. It also finds a mention in the National register of Historic Places. While witnessing the magic of the opera performance there, you would also be enthralled by the beautiful murals in the lobby of the same. Opera Cleveland is the resident theater company that performs excellent opera here. KeyBank State Theatre shares its limelight and location with the Ohio Theater, but is prominent figure in theatrics by itself. Check the website or call ahead for event details.
