Michael Blackson is a Ghana-born comedian, currently living in the United States who uses his experiences as an African living in America as a catalyst for his stand up comedy routine. Inspired by many black comedians to have come before him, like Eddie Murphy and Richard Prior, Blackson started performing in comedy competitions in 1992, where he cut his teeth on the nefarious upstart comedy scene. Having grown into a fairly recognizable figure on the comedy circuit, Blackson has also appeared on the big and silver screen in the film Next Friday and the TV show 30 Rock.
