Kakkmaddafakka is an indie rock band from Bergen, Norway known for its raucous live shows. Though it is officially a five-piece band, Kakkmaddafakka often plays shows with up to a dozen musicians and vocalists on stage. Formed by brothers Axel and Pål Vindenes, Jonas Nielsen and Stian Sævig, all classically trained musicians, the band is a result of a one-time show in 2004 that generated huge interest and positive feedback. By 2006 Kakkmaddafakka released its first effort, Already Your Favourite EP, closely followed by the band's full-length debut Down To Earth. The band has since played several festivals such as North by Northeast, Montreux Jazz Festival and Iceland Waves.
