Sam Lee is a singer/songwriter from London who creates experimental folk music. After finding his voice and making the switch from visual artist he joined the Gypsy Traveller community and embarked on a four year apprenticeship under the late Scottish Traveller Stanley Robertson. A renowned ballad singer in the community, Robertson passed his repertoire of songs on to Lee, who continues to push the limits of traditional folk through his interpretations of the songs with unconventional instrumentation and arrangements.
