Sporting is one of the "Big Three" teams in Portuguese football and it’s definitely one of the most revered with over 120,000 club members. In fact, the team is widely considered Portugal’s National Team. Founded in 1906, the Lions have won over a dozen Primeira Liga titles and won the international European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1964. The team takes the pitch at the massive Estádio José Alvalade, which has a capacity of 50,000 raging Leões, or Lions fans as they are colloquially known. Additionally, Sporting is also widely known for its outstanding youth academy. It's academy is responsible for producing players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo.
