Join in the festive celebration of Saint Martin, also known as Martin of Tours, who lived in the 4th century, first as a soldier, then as a monk and a bishop. One of the most popular events of the holiday season, it begins with a children's lantern procession through the town at exactly 11 minutes past 11 o'clock in the morning. The celebration culminates with a meal of roasted goose, the animal symbol of St. Martin. Admission to the event is free, but make your reservation at a local restaurant well in advance for the delicious goose.
