American folk singer/songwriter Aura Dione was raised by hippie parents. They sailed around various world oceans with their young daughter until she was 7 years old and instilled a communal way of thinking in the girl's mind at an early age. Dione later enrolled at a high school in Denmark, but eventually fled to seek inspiration from the Aboriginal people in Australia. While in the land down under, as it were, Dione started writing songs and soon she began performing her pieces to audiences. It wasn't long before the young songstress was noticed by industry folk and asked to record an album. Her debut LP, Columbine, went over fairly well with critics and ever since Dione has been busy on the road, where she travels from town to town performing her tranquil style of folk music.
