The alternative rock band Hole was co-founded by Eric Erlandson and Courtney Love in 1989 in Los Angeles. The lead is notorious Courtney Love and the band has achieved notable success in its first years. While attempting on a fourth album in 1999, the band decided to split, reuniting in 2009 (sans Erlandson) with the release of Nobody's Daughter.
