Formed in 1998, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers is an alternative rock band from Tempe, Arizona that is probably best known for its song that appears during the opening credits of the widely popular Mike Judge created animated TV show King of the Hill. With a sound that blends guitar driven rock with a twangy, Texas blues sonic ethos, the Peacemakers have managed to carve out a fairly respectable niche for itself in the multifaceted modern day music scene. Though the band hasn't found a sizable commercial following, it has nevertheless stayed true to its roots and hasn't disappointed its early and dedicated fan base.
