Winston Foster, who performs and releases music as Yellowman, is a Jamaican reggae singer/songwriter and dancehall DJ. Shunned as a child due to his albinism, Foster first gained prominence after he placed second in the 1978 Tastee Talent Contest. Going on to cut his teeth and hone his skills on the Jamaican music circuit in the late-1970s and early-1980s, he would eventually release his debut album, Mister Yellowman, in 1982. Having since kept active with a prolific LP release schedule and a regular touring regime, Yellowman has distinguished himself as one of the more revered Jamaican reggae artists of his generation.
