Four influential British rockers came together in the 1960s to form the art rock band 10cc. All talented multi-instrumentalists and singers, Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme worked together to create both commercially and artistically appealing music with a textured sound and accessible lyrics. With Stewart and Gouldman serving as the band's primary pop song writers and Creme and Godley penning the experimental half of the band, 10cc managed to create art rock while also appealing to the same international audience that was captured by the British Invasion. Although the band split in 1976 and again in 1995, the musicians moved on to other collaborations and worked as producers, continuing to be an integral presence in the British music scene.
