Formed in 1959, The Lords is one of Germany's first and most popular beat bands of all time. The band won the Berliner Beatles title in 1964 propelling them to win the "Germany's Beat Band No. 1" title in the same year. The Lords released its debut album In Black and White – In Beat and Sweet in 1965. "Shakin' All Over," "Poor Boy," "Poison Ivy" and "Gloryland" are some of the group's popular singles.
