The Kelowna Pride Festival is a celebration of the area's LGBTQI community. Organized by the non-profit Okanagan Pride Society (OPS), pride has been taking place here since 2008 and draws visitors from across Canada and the United States. Among the many events held during the week-long festival there is the opening night party, the Trans March, the drag competition "Kings & Queens of the Okanagan," and on the last day, the Pride March, the Festival in the Park, and the wrap-up party.
