Baisakhi, also written as Vaisakhi or Vaishakhi, is a Hindu festival observed predominantly in the North Indian states by the Sikh community. The festival commemorates the origin of the Khalsa, which is the way of life as per Sikhism. It also marks the beginning of the harvest season. Each year on this day prayers are offered at the Gurudwara and processions are held while Nishan Sahib flag.
