The first comedian to sign with Comedy Central back in the early 1990s, Tom Rhodes is an internationally known comedian, actor and writer who started performing stand-up at The Funny Farm comedy club in Orlando. After graduating high school he moved to New York City, following advice from a chance meeting with Jay Leno, but eventually relocated to San Francisco where he met other up and coming comedians including Margaret Cho, Dana Gould and Patton Oswalt. Surrounded with good company he perfected his improv skills and eventually made his way from comedy clubs to comedy specials on TV. After his appearance on Comedy Central's Two Drink Minimum, he signed a one year contract w/ the young network and filmed several different segments and was allowed creative freedom with what projects he worked on. Rhodes has also spent time as a travel journalist for projects such as Comedy Central's Viva Vietnam: A White Trash Adventure Tour, which he wrote and hosted, as well as Dutch television station's Yorin Travel. He began developing international appeal with each travel segment, and eventually started a blog that features his travels with a toy Elvis doll at various monuments around the world.
